ABOUT MAXXFIT SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Maxxfit Sports Performance was founded in 1995 by Chris Miller, the certified fitness professional. Our mission at Maximum Fitness is to ensure that our clients have everything they need to achieve their fitness goals, no matter how large or small they may be. We provide the much-needed support of a mentor and coach as well as creative and innovative training ideas, top-of-the-line equipment and a clean, well-kept facility.

We opened the doors, located in Columbia, MD, in the fall of 2011. Our state of the art facility serves clients from all walks of life including several professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters and Boxers, many amateur fighters, high school sports teams, individuals of all ages even mature adults and elementary/middle school aged athletes.

ONE on ONE

Our one-on-one training offers a more personable approach to exercise without the busy gym or sports club atmosphere. The size of our facility and our small group training session (typically 2-5 clients) also make the environment fun and enjoyable. Clients are able to motivate and push each other, helping them achieve greater results.

TRAINER

My passion for fitness began in 2013 when I decided to take charge of my health and my body.  I was unhappy with the way I looked and I knew poor eating habits and not exercising on a consistent basis were the culprits.

KAYLA GAINES

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Kayla Gaines, a.k.a Free, is a yoga instructor and stretch practitioner based in Baltimore, Maryland. She first discovered yoga in 2017 and decided to begin teaching yoga in 2021 where she could put all her passion and knowledge to good use! Before discovering yoga, she came from a culinary background and took a pivot to follow her dreams and give her feet a rest from those 10-hour shifts. She utilized stretching and yoga to help ease the tension and discomfort of daily life tasks. She soon realized that other people also experienced daily pains from lower back pain to tight traps and shoulders. Kayla has led many classes to help aid in the chronic discomfort and pain that lives amongst everyday people. Kayla is a 200HR-RYT, Vinyasa focused, and a certified stretch practitioner which allows her to physically assist you through your stretches. If you like a class focused on strength and flexibility, then join Kayla’s Power Vinyasa class or come stretch out and relax in her slow flow class!
